Today’s Startup of the Day is MathDash.
MathDash is an online live math-competition platform that aims to turn math into a sport. Users play against each other or bots and watch their ELO constantly rise and fall with correct and incorrect answers. They offer a variety of game styles and question types and boast thousands of use hours so far. MathDash is part of Y Combinator’s W24 batch.
MathDash was founded by Daniel Sun and Akshaj Kadaveru. As MIT grads, quantitative traders, and USA Math Olympians, Daniel and Akshaj are deeply steeped in math competition culture. In college, they built a class comparison site with 2000 users and are now embarking on a project similarly aimed to bring people together - the community of students of all levels learning math.
